Tint a House products are designed to provide a desired level of privacy while improving energy efficiency and maintaining natural lighting. Our extensive experience combined with the latest imaging technology utilised by our wide format digital printer deliver exceptional quality for a wide range of applications.

Residential and Commercial

Window tinting is one of the most effective ways to reduce energy costs and maintain a more comfortable working environment. Windows that are exposed without any protection are responsible for a majority of heat gains during the warmer months. This contributes to higher energy costs for both residential and commercial buildings. Window tinting can dramatically reduce utility usage and can even protect valuable furniture from the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays. Window films are able to provide a desired level of privacy while maintaining natural light and meeting all safety requirements. Our products and services are available at some of the most competitive prices in the market and we use products from top quality brands. We offer the following products which are installed by our licensed specialists.

Safety and Security Films

Glass is one of the weakest points in any building and is highly susceptible to damage either from extreme weather conditions or from impact. Our Safety and Security films are designed to help hold the glass fragments together reducing potential injury from flying glass.

Decorative Films

We offer a range of decorative window films and vinyl designs that can be completely customised from simple designs to more sophisticated patterns. We use the latest in imaging technology to deliver visually stunning graphics to suit any commercial space. We can digitally print any image onto film. Create effective designs, patterns and signs for your glass and walls. Specialising in Precision Cut and Digital Print films we can convert your existing glass and walls into a imaginative statement.

Solar Films

Solar films offer a cost effective solution to lowering utility costs. Solar films are designed to reduce energy consumption and glare caused by direct sunlight. Installing solar window tinting helps to provide a more comfortable environment while maintaining a level of privacy. These installations also help to protect interior furnishings from damaging UV rays while still allowing for natural light to get in.

Anti Graffiti Films

Graffiti and vandalism continue to be prevalent in certain areas. Our anti-graffiti film is a tough optically clear, scratch resistant film that acts as a sacrificial barrier to protect windows from scratching with sharp objects and tagging  which is a cost effective solution as it can be easily stripped and replaced, making it suitable for public and commercial spaces.

Services and Questions

Installation Questions

How do I clean the film after installation?

Avoid any abrasive cleaners or towels. We suggest using a soft cloth and a mild detergent to clean your windows.

Can the film be applied on bathroom shower doors?

Yes. The films can be installed in humid and moist conditions. Installation on the outside of the shower door is recommended.

Can I install the film on double pane windows?

All of our films are safe for installation onto double pane windows, wire glass and tempered / toughened glass.

Do I install the film on the inside or outside of the glass?

Always on the inside of the glass. The film will stick to the outside, but it will greatly reduce the life of the film. This is due to the fact that the UV stabilizers are incorporated within the film’s mounting adhesive, so the adhesive side must be facing the sun (installed on the inside, facing out).

What tools do I need to install the film?

Basically, you will need tools to clean the glass, cut the film, squeegee the film and spray the soap and water solution.

Can  films be reused after removal?

No. But the new Static Cling range of decorative film can be removed and reused.

Can film be removed?

Yes. Unlike other decorative glass processes, Decorative Films can be removed if desired. This of course is an advantage and most landlords do not object to their tenants installation of film when they find out the product can be removed. To remove films simply peel away the film from one corner and pull the film from the glass. If any adhesive remains on the glass it can be easily removed with a spray of soapy water and a single edge razorblade. (Blades cannot be used on Perspex sheets to remove film.) In addition, the cost of reinstalling Decorative Films on existing glass is low in comparison to other processes.

How are films installed?

All Decorative Films have an acrylic adhesive system protected by a removable release liner which must be removed prior to installation. Films are installed using a water and soap based solution.
